丽水，地处浙江省西南部，是国家级生态示范区、中国森林城市、中国优秀旅游城市、国际休闲养生城市、中国长寿之乡、中国气候养生之乡，素有 “中国生态第一市”、“浙江绿谷”、“华东地区动植物摇篮”等美誉。习近平总书记曾经用“秀山丽水、天生丽质”赞美丽水，被誉为“浙江最美的地方”。全市总面积1.73万平方公里，占浙江陆地面积的1/6，是浙江省面积最大的一个地级市。现辖莲都区、龙泉市和青田、缙云、遂昌、松阳、云和、庆元、景宁7个县，总人口266万。

丽水高铁于2016年1月正式开通，到上海只需2.5小时到杭州只需1.5小时，到温州只需0.5小时，高速公路遍布全市各县，交通条件的极大改善，为人流、物流、资金流、信息流涌向丽水提供了便利。

十三五期间，丽水市委市政府提出了“195”产业发展战略：做大做强1个战略性支柱产业即生态旅游业；重点培育高端装备制造、节能环保、生物医药、新材料等9个超百亿级产业，重点突破民宿经济、机器人产业，电子商务等5个细分领域。丽水正在坚定不移走“绿水青山就是金山银山”绿色生态发展之路，打造“生态保护与生态经济”双示范区，努力建设美丽幸福的新丽水！

Lishui, located at the southwest of Zhejiang province, is a national-level ecological demonstration zone, a forest city in China, a favorable tourism city in China, an international leisure city, a land of longevity in China, and a climatically livable city in China. It is always known as the “First Ecological City in China”, “Green Land in Zhejiang”, “Cradle of Plants and Animals in Eastern China”, etc; praised by president Xi Jinping as the “Most Beautiful Land in Zhejiang” (“gorgeous Lishui, a flawless beauty”). The city covers an area of 17, 300 square kilometer in total, accounting for 1/6 of the land area of Zhejiang province to beome the largest prefecture-level city in Zhejiang province in respect of area. It has 2 districts (Liandu District and Longquan City) and 7 counties (Qingtian, Jinyun, Suichang, Songyang, Yunhe, Qingyuan, and Jingning), and has a population of 2.66 million.  

The high-speed railway in Lishui was completed and put into service in January 2016, by which it takes only 2.5 hours to reach Shanghai, 1.5 hours to reach Hangzhou, and half an hour to reach Wenzhou. All counties in Lishui are covered by freeway. Thus, the traffic condition of Lishui is favorable, which can greatly facilitate population mobility, physical distribution, fund flow, and information circulation.

During the 13^th Five-Year Plan, the municipal Party committee and municipal government of Lishui put forward the “195” industrial development strategy: consolidate and strengthen 1 strategic pillar industry, i.e. ecological tourism; prioritize 9 industries above tens of billion level, i.e. high-end equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, biological medicine, new material, etc.; make a breakthrough mainly in 5 segments, i.e. home stay facility economy, robot industry, e-commerce, etc.. Believing in that “green hills and clear waters are wealth”, Lishui is firmly sticking to the idea of green and ecological development, and building a demonstration area of “ecological protection and ecological economy”, to strive to construct a beautiful and happy Lishui!
